So he's ended his loan basically, wouldn't read too much into it just yet. Is he definitely out of contract with Stoke?

I see he started in Stoke U23's playoff semi-final game yesterday, in which they defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 (and must be why we released him to them slightly earlier).

Note that one of Stoke's scorers was Will Goodwin, a teenage striker signed from Chester who - similarly to Eddy himself - had a slightly unsuccessful loan spell with Hartlepool this last season. I wonder whether he could be an option for us...

That's a name that has been on my radar this season, he's quite Hulmesque in his play too, I believe.

Be interesting to see if Goodwin can be lured back to Chester by his former Youth team manager

I saw Goodwin play for Chester - he looked very useful.
