Title: End of Season Awards - Fans Votes
Post by: beaker141 on May 11, 2022, 11:32:46 PM
All,

I understand there will be Fan awards presented as part of the end of season after game activities on Sunday.

The link below allows you to cast your vote for Player of the year and Young Player of the Year.

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/alty-awards-21-22

Regards
Stuart

Isaac Marriott probably has to win Young Player of the Season, but I'd be interested to see which way the main award goes.

Would have thought it had to be Colclough.

Not trying to be an influencer but if Marriott hadn't have started games when he eventually did we would have been in a relaxation fight

I assume you mean relegation, but a relaxation fight sounds lovely.

I may be misremembering but didn't the criteria for Young Player used to be slightly more generous? Under 24 or something like that? By restricting it to 21 and under, we've ended up with a very narrow field.

Just goes to show how the age of the squad has gone down with the loanees and signings. I got a feeling that this will continue.
If they're good enough, they're old enough! 😉

My predictive text clearly doesn't gravitate to 'relegation'. Which is a good thing

I wanted to vote for the goal scored by "Divot."

i forget which game it was when the shot jumped over the opposition keeper!

I wasn't going to mention Kennedy Digie but...

The "divot" goal was Chesterfield. You're the second person I know of to forget the opposition, which I find slightly surprising as they are a massive club for this league. Just goes to show the quality of this league these days, I guess.

If I could vote for best away fans, it may well be Chesterfield (and not least  for their excellent rendition of the "zigger zagger" song) - at least, up to the divot goal...

It's striking for me that there hasn't been a standout worldie goal like Connor's last minute belter at Sutton for example.

I can't actually choose...

Divot was Chesterfield.....my mate still steaming about it.

Voting done

Glad Glyn's phone prohibits relegation.....needs to keep hold of it... ;D

Always thought 24 years old was too senior to be a young player in footballing terms....so glad narrowed down to the 'boys'

I would have voted for Tom if he'd stayed, consistency should be the corner stone of POTS

I still can't believe how Hampson's piledriver didn't win last season's award.

Maybe we should award Goal of the Season on the volume of Brian Flynn's reaction!

“Yes sir, it’s Dan Moody” made me chuckle.

Mullarkey won Manager's POS
Marriott won Young POS
Don't know who won the main Supporters award

Colclough got the fans award by something like 350 votes more than second place...he also got GotS v Woking at home (which was a turning point in our season imo)
