I stood on the Golf Road on Tuesday and began to chat to two lads who it transpired were students at Salford University. They had heard about Alty's brand of attractive football and had decided to come and see it for themselves. One of them was a Bath City fan and the other guy followed AFC Wimbledon.
They joined in with the singing and chanting and celebrated the goals with the rest of us. I think that the momentum is growing all the time now and we are heading in a very positive direction.
We need to spread the word and encourage lapsed supporters and those yet to be baptised into the Alty family to join us on what I anticipate will be a wonderful journey.

My friend works at Man Met uni and has mentioned that a couple of the freshers have brought up Alty in conversation with him. There’s a group of four in his class that are aiming to hit up every Saturday home game.
I really like that the kids are realising that non league is the way to go (unless we get promoted, then I hope they really like lower league football.
