Title: Not the longest of memories
Post by: Bath Alty on April 19, 2021, 10:26:18 PM
Is it just me that finds the Football League and its clubs bleating a out the unfairness of a closed shop just a little bit hard to take. It’s not like it’s beyond living memory that they used to run one!

I think virtually the whole of football and beyond are complaining about the European Super League, not just the EFL.

On the subject of long memories, I can also remember the Northern Premier League  (although it was founded with automatic relegation, that was soon to lapse) and the Cheshire County League having re-election systems, and we occasionally did benefit from that, before my time. The Alliance Premier League/Conference /National League has always maintained an automatic promotion/relegation system to its credit.
