Depends how granular it is. Trafford is 150th in the rankings and falling down the table. Our infection rates are lower than Cheshire East and Cheshire West with Chester. They were both in Tier 2 pre lockdown.

The average is rising so scaling against that can be misleading.

The government will decide where to put each "region". Sounds like Greater Manchester to me. They will decide based on numbers infected, the R rate and the ability of local NHS to cope. Given that Wythenshawe Hospital also looks after Wythenshawe which is in Manchester Borough and some of Cheshire East I now think we'll still be in Tier 3 even if they take it down to Borough level.

it’ll be interesting to see how they deal with Blackpool/Lancashire and Swale/Kent.
Blackpool has much better stats than Lancashire. Is Blackpool in Lancs or is it not.
Swale with higher stats than Kent. Is it in Kent or is it not?

Hyndburn's not in Greater Manchester, however, as it's the area round Accrington. The highest place in GM is Oldham in 17th place, while Kent has Thanet and Medway as well as Swale up near the top. Maybe there is a possibility we could go into Tier 2, but, as usual, it's grasping for the sliver of hope which can disappoint you.
On Hashtag's question about away fans, if we are in tier 2 with 2000 fans, I think there would be room for them, but we will know more on Thursday, assuming Johnson is either in Parliament or can manage a zoom connection.

As much as I'd love to see Alty (and, indeed Gtr manchester) in tier 2 or lower, if Manchester is in tier 3 than Trafford will have to be (I fear) because of the travel between the 2 areas.

All depends if you can get a ticket, but in theory yes but more than likely in the home end.

As Cheshire is in a high risk area according to government website I dont think there will be anyone watching football at J.D. for a while yet. Except the board and the various random people in the stand and standing next to the community hall. Maybe the board at alty are immune. We seem to have a lot of board members.

We have 7/8 directors, I believe, of which the number attending home games this season has been between 2-5.

In order from the front of the main stand, backwards.
First off, the area behind the dugouts that's typically reserved for directors on a 'normal match day' - that's now used by participating squad and staff members, on both sides. You can't cram everyone into the little dugouts due to regulations of course, so they're distanced and spread out across that section. Those who aren't aware of this may think it's just people there to watch and have a nice day out, but it's not. They're substitutes, coaches, physios. They're all involved in the game and part of the 'red zone.'
The 'red zone' extends into the general area of the main stand, so behind them you'll then find non-participating squad & staff members, on both sides. We had 8 or 9 players out against Solihull, for example? It's obviously going to look busy but again, they're there for a reason.
You then have the 'amber zone' reserved typically for media, on both sides. We're in the National League now, these sides don't just have one bloke doing the Twitter. Chesterfield had a few regional publications there, regional BBC and their own hefty media cohort.
I completely understand it must be frustrating to watch at home and from that camera you can gain all sorts of impressions but from what I've seen, almost everyone is there to do something or another. I hope that helps characterise the various random people.

I think if the JD was in a high risk area and in Cheshire, there would indeed be spectators watching matches after December 2nd. Unfortunately it is in Greater Manchester which is Very High Risk, and IMHO is likely to remain so after December 2nd so there will be no spectators in the ground for the foreseeable future.
This seems an unfair advantage given to those teams in tier 1 and 2 areas. They can have home fans.

Greater Manchester is confirmed as tier 3. So our ground is in an area that is below the national average yet we still cannot have fans :(

Our first away game in the new tiers system is at Dagenham. The Covid infection rate in Trafford is 170.6. In Barking and Dagenham, its 264.0. Yet Dagenham and Redbridge should soon be able admit supporters, and presumably will get money for missed spectator revenue.
I did see something about them working on a capacity of 1400, so it might be difficult for the likes of London Alty to get tickets. Their match on Wednesday is still being played behind closed doors, as the safety measures required are still uncertain, but they hope to have fans present for their game against us.
It's surely going to be a problem for the league's integrity if some clubs can admit fans and others can't.

Yes, but can only access it if you reside tier 3

Cheshire East and West have similar figures to us and both are in Tier 2. It's due to be reviewed again on the 16th so hopefully we'll be able to see our Christmas games.
We just need the rates in other Manchester boroughs to carry on falling.

Trafford went into lockdown when cases were 30 per 100,000 in July.
They are now 170.6.
