Title: Season tickets 2020/21
Post by: Steve from Sale on September 04, 2020, 03:16:38 PM
Hi All,

Any chance season tickets can be purchased from next week for the next season? I am not working next week but am back on the 14th September, it may be difficult to get to the club weekdays after this date.

Can you also let us know gate prices and season ticket costs asap too?

Many thanks, Steve from Sale.

Question for Bill.........what will be the club’s stance on refunds should the government, in extreme, for example, decide that all games should be played behind closed doors?

Last year it could be argued that we all bought our season tickets in expectation that all games would go ahead in front of spectators. This year we would be purchasing in the knowledge that there is a risk that we may not be permitted to attend. Would the club still offer refunds in the scenario that exists now?

Looking forward to driving up from Shropshire.

We should sell record numbers this year with us being promoted, the need for tickets, the Potential reduced capacities and so many people that have stayed away coming back.

If we end up missing out on some games we will seek to replicate what we did last season.  A refund or a discount off the following season

Just got ours - Myself and Mrs S.

Had a bit of a hoo-ha with the site which was probably the fault of my clockwork computer!

Can I just say thank you very much indeed to Rob and especially Bill for sorting me out.

What an absolutely fantastic club this is! 😉

A big thanks to Bill Waterson.

My Dad (aged 86 ) contacted the club to renew his season ticket at 9am this morning. At 10.30 he had a call from Bill who talked him through the process (which he was struggling with) took his payment and spent a good half hour chatting about Alty.

Thank you so much Bill for your efforts and kind words, this reminds me why we love this club so much.

Just ordered mine. No idea how the order numbering Works but if cult was 666 last night and I’m 818 tonight is that 150 sold in 24 hours?

Jings. Is there a limit to how many we have to sell? I'm still thinking it over. Heck.

I’d heard we’d sold about 100 by late last night, so 150 by now seems about fair, excellent start & vital cash flow for the club too.

I wouldn’t overly worry if you don’t have one, if the widely quoted 30% figure is correct then we are allowed up to 2310 fans in the ground (in theory) & I assume a certain % of tickets will always be held back for individual match sales too.

.

I imagine it's one number per order so if people bought two together, or families bought 2 kids and an adult then it could be more

Yes. It would be nice to know how many we've sold. I'm sure it'll be getting on for a record number (whatever that might be)

The figure will surge once others like myself receive an email with a discount code in respect of last season's unplayed matches.

We ordered two on Friday and that was two tickets under one order number. 702. Ordered at 17:45
I’m sure this will be a record total  sold for the upcoming season

I was talking to a St Mirren fan today who buys a season ticket every year...but never actually goes.

It is not just Alty that has great fans.

I've seen the "highlights" of St.Mirren's games on "Sportscene" over the last three years or so. I think I understand why he stays away  :D

St Mirren are my local and I watch them live maybe once a month (plus all their highlights for my job, pity me). They do have one of the most boring attritional styles of play known to man. Think Alty away at Luton 2010/11 opener every week.

There should be a broad update on season tickets on the website some time this afternoon, but the plan is for the season tickets to be with you all early in the week of the 28th September.

I presume the number of season tickets sold will be less than 1000 (of course I shan't complain if it's more!), but in the unlikely event that there turns out to be more season ticket holders than places available, are there any plans for what will happen?

1000 would more than double the record ( i think )

Yes, I had a feeling it would! Unusual times though - a surge of optimism coupled with uncertainty about what will happen should at any rate see the record comfortably broken. I know that people who would not normally get a season ticket will be considering it. But is the assumed minimum capacity (if any fan return happens) of 1000 guaranteed? What if they said it's now 15% of minimum Conference capacity (about 600)? It might be an idea to have plans in place unless this (or 1000 plus season tickets!) can more or less definitely be ruled out.

Not a hope. If the league are adamant about not starting without fans in the ground then we can forget October the third.
