Absolutely the right decision. This isn’t a game.

Gutted - I was really looking forward to visiting Bootham Crescent, suspect that the FA Trophy game will now be the last time Alty ever play there.  Just requested a refund for £80 worth of train tickets but as frustrating as it is you just have to accept that it is the right decision and one that had to be made.  Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow and during the next week.  Presume that the Chester game will be postponed now as well.  Just as we were gaining some form.....

If a game that would get less than 2500 is off I assume all shopping centres will close. I'll have a bike ride into my local town tomorrow and I guarantee now there'll be in excess of that milling about all afternoon.

You're missing the point as to why the game was postponed.  It wasn't to do with the virus spreading as we know as the game was originally set to go ahead.  However, it has been called off due to employees of both teams developing symptoms.

If this one is called off then it looks like we won't see any footy for a while

I hope people who have paid to stay over at york or payed train fare get the money back

Did anyone mention that Cheltenham  with 60,000 people went a head no problem

This is what I don't understand

We were at Cheltenham yesterday  along with 68500 others. There were  lots of hand sanitisers around the place and good to see that all age groups were using them..  I’m sure that plenty of fresh air helped keep the germs at bay.. In my opinion your more likely to catch something in the supermarket by someone coughing and spluttering in the queue...

I understand the reasons why the game was called off, but I am a tad disappointed with the way in which it was announced as emphatically ON only to be reversed a few hours later by which time I had already purchased rail tickets.  Following the "It's official - York game ON after league hold board meeting" announcement I thought it safe to make the purchase after waiting all week.  I now have to pay £20 cancellation fees but I guess it is better safe than sorry.

Tbf the same happened with the Sale v Harlequins rugby cup final scheduled for today; Emphatically ON on Friday and then OFF on Saturday because of self isolation of one or more club staff. We’re in uncharted territory and nobody really knows what to do. The press aren’t helping matters
