Title: Jordan Sinnott
Post by: blackpoolalty on January 25, 2020, 06:22:28 PM
Unfortunately was involved in an incident in the early
Hours of this morning:

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/local-news/wetherspoons-attack-retford-police-pub-3777150.amp

It appears several media outlets including Sky’s soccer Saturday reported he had passed, it seems this isn’t true and he’s still on life support. Hopefully he’ll pull through. I deleted my own Tweet after learning of this and an earlier post on here seems to have been removed as well.

Halifax Town were the source unfortunately. Sounds like someone gave them misleading info. Just shows how it can snowball. As if the Sinnott family aren’t going through enough at the moment.

It is very sad news and my thoughts are with Lee and the rest of the family.
It is also awful the way in which this leaked, incorrectly, into the public domain.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. He was still a boy really when he first played for us - only 18 - you could see his class and talent but he never really got going with us.  Seemed like a lovely lad though.

I just can't get over how sad this is - he had his whole life ahead of him and some thug has snuffed it out - I hope whoever it is goes down for a long, long time  - its just awful.  Thoughts and prayers with Lee and all the family and rest in peace Jordan Sinnott - am sure the club will offer the family their condolences and support through what will be a terrible time - nothing worth for a parent than to see your child pre-decease you

Having lost my own son only a few months ago, my heart truly goes out to all of Jordan's family, and those nearest to him. I at least had time to get used to the idea, but the suddenness and brutality of this is altogether worse. RIP

Manslaughter for beating a fit and healthy 25 year old lad to death  :o

Think the initiative - which has gone viral - of donating shirts from clubs with the number 25 on, and with the name Sinnott on the back - with a view to auctioning them off for charity - is awesome.  What a fantastic tribute that is to Jordan.  I understand clubs at all levels and from overseas as well - example Barcelona - have already donated.  I hope we are doing so as well, and my missus thinks we should do a tribute rainbow shirt as well - on the basis that it will probably go for quite a lot of money.

Hope we do a minute's applause at our next home match - I know we don't tend to for our own until the last match of the season -but he played 57 times for us, more times than he played for anyone else, and the tragic and horrifying circumstances of his death in my view merit us doing something special by way of tribute to him and out of respect for his family. I am wsure it would comfort Lee and co to know that we really pushed the boat out for them.   What do others think?

I read somewhere (in a Notts Police statement?) that Jordan carried a donor card, and that some of his organs have been donated to help other people, so at least some good has come out of these tragic circumstances.
