A teammate of Tom Hannigan's for three seasons at Vauxhall Motors. A skillful player who will be suited by Alty's style of play.

Honest interview. Defo a decent player in there.

Good luck to him .Been years since we had an Irish player in the team by the way

I think the last was Josh Doherty who was a loan signing under Jim Harvey in 2016, although he was from the North, not the Republic.
Anyway, welcome to Craig and I hope he does well at the club.

Good luck Craig, and welcome to the best non league club in the world. You've joined at a perfect time, we are up for a major play off push, we have a board with bags of ambition, and we have a management team as good as any in non league, who look after and value their players. If you put in a decent shift every time you play for us, you will also find that you've the best bunch of supporters in non league behind you, and you will have a terrace chant dedicated to you in no time!
You've got fantastic pedigree, and years left on the clock, and you've a chance to really prove yourself in a great team that will bring the best in you.
Exciting times ahead Craig :)

When I saw Craig play for Vauxhall, I thought he was one of the best non league players I'd ever seen. I was dead envious when he ended up at Chester.
That was such a long time ago though, so I hope he has still got it. Declining speed might be an issue, but his presence over JJ will certainly enhance our passing game. It's just a club problem with end product which might be an issue moving forward (unless we bring in another striker).

You only have to look on the Chester Forum to see how well thought of Craig was by the fans at Chester. No cries of 'traitor' or 'Judas' there. In fact, the thread dedicated to Craig's departure contains nothing but compliments and superlatives.

He didn't want to leave

I know his time was essentially up, but he didn't have to come to Alty. He could of declined. We are as much their play-off rivals as they are ours. ;)

Shows what a good clubman he was then, making himself a make weight to further Chesters promotion push
