If a player wants to go for what they see as a better offer, so be it, it’s a short career. You need people that want to be here, once that doubt creeps in, there’s no point being here. If he doesn’t go then great we carry on evolving. If they all want to go and join the LADZ LADZ LADZ culture up the M56 then fine, that’s their right. It works both ways clubs release players, players leave clubs. I hope this topic doesn’t eclipse everything else this evening. We’ve lots to look forward to, we do desperately need more investment as proven this week. Two years ago the club acquired 117,000 non voting shares (approx 51%) and converted them to voting shares that were ‘held in treasury’. I’m far more interested to find out what the situation is with these Shares. Also what progress has been made on announcing a new chairman as it will bring people back to the club, rather than a player potentially leaving

I dont think anything specific is planned Steve, but if youre there early enough before the meeting and speak to Richie or me, then we could easily sort out a burger, possibly chips.

So, how much did we get for Johnson and is Hulme going to Chester?

Undisclosed fee, but they said it was a record between NLN clubs. So substantial. Sell on clause as well

On Jordan Hulme, Parky dodged the situation, said they had previously approached him and he wasn't interested. Now, he didn't seem to know. Sounds like there was an approach....

I have previously got the understanding Jordan didn't like how he was treated by Titch and Quackers at Salford so was unlikely to be feeling warm and fuzzy about going back to them.

According to a couple of posters on the Chester forum, Jordan works with Morley so I wouldn’t be so sure this is the case. Oh and by the way, was anything said about the position of Chairman?

It was telling how there was almost zero input from the current chairman tonight, apart from answering one question where he stayed rooted to his seat with his back to the audience.

I thought it was an excellent meeting, very well presented and delivered and while there is clearly a very ambitious vision in place, it was balanced by a lot of realism and understanding of what needs to be done to make it happen.

Indeed. The changing of the guard was reassuringly evident.

The professionalism of last evening's presentation was in stark contrast to the bumbling amateurism of some previous similar gatherings.
