I see they have signed a number of Alty affiliated players: Joel Swift, Rhain Davis, Curtis Miller and Dontai Gabidon.
Not sure how Joel Swift manage our reserves and play for West Didsbury but there you go.

We did, he is on dual registration at West Didsbury & Chorlton & played for them on Tuesday night as ineligible to play in the FA Trophy for us, as he had played previously for Trafford.

Lewis Walters is still on loan at Trafford until the middle of January.

He's currently banned after being sent off.

My mistake RE Miller/Walters.
It seems weird that some of our young talents who were previously getting game time at Trafford are dropping down to play two leagues lower. I think this also shines a light on the way our reserves are run. We've had people on the books there for years making the occasional Cheshire Cup appearance who are clearly never going to get anywhere near the first team and now they're signing for West Didsbury. Perhaps it's a case of needing people to make up the numbers but I do feel our reserves function almost as a vaguely affiliated amateur team who occasionally give our fringe players a run out.
Interested to hear any opinions or insight on the reserves. I don't know enough about the inner workings of the team, so perhaps what I'm saying is a heap of BS.

I see Sam Heathcote appeared in their boxing day game, along with our current reserve team manager Joel Swift.

The reserves have been run as a pub team for years with lads in their mid twenties who were never going to get near the first team playing every week. The intention this season was to bring a young coach in from outside the club to work with the lads from last season's decent youth squad and mix it with other young players from the region. The lad who had agreed to take over then pulled out just before the season started & Joel Swift took over and then brought his mates back in from last year which included Sam Heathcote. For a club of our size it really is an area which is being neglected.
