Title: Day Jobs
Post by: MarpleAlty on May 30, 2019, 09:58:48 AM
Seeing as it's close season...

I used to know quite a bit about what our players did for their 'day jobs' (was it Chris Adams who was a postman for example? And I know Damian was a plasterer...)

Don't seem to know much about our current bunch, apart from Poole who I know is a scout at City.

What do they all do?

Chis Adams was indeed a postman. Turned up on my doorstep with a parcel.

"You're Chris Adams," I said. I think he already knew. We proceeded to have a brief chat about the fact he'd just scored twice in successive games.

Ah, actually I did know this one too.

This is why I think it would be great to get a young promising goalkeeper in, with lots of potential to improve quickly and learn from him (although we've just let one go!)

Steve Drench is a goalkeeping coach at Blackburn Rovers.

I believe that he had to give that up when he went full-time at Guiseley.

Thanks Brian - I obviously had out-of-date info.
