If they were based anywhere else in the country, I'd totally agree. However, if they recruit successfully from the Northern League, they'll hold their own. There are some decent players in their neck of the woods who don't want to play too far from home (Dale is a good example), and anyone who doubts the strength of the Northern League need look no further than Lewis Wing who's stepped up from Shildon and almost immediately become a first team regular at Middlesbrough.
I fear much more for BPA, who have plenty of clubs on top of them who can recruit more effectively than they now can.

Neither Jones or Harrison have agreed terms for next season yet meaning they are currently free agents.

Obviously which is why I included the word ‘yet’ in my original comment which as it stands is still correct. Until we here otherwise the only defender from last seasons squad to have been offered and agreed terms is Tom Hannigan.

I can see why we're doing the announcements this way but it might give the impression that we're still negotiating with squad members who have not yet been announced as retained, when I'm sure the majority of last year's squad is in fact already signed up.
