Must be close to a ban?
-
Not only close - he's now got one. 5 League bookings = 1 match ban.
-
He doesn't seem to learn. It's the same off his feet tackle that gets him a booking every week. When he got his yellow yesterday prior to being subbed I was expecting red. I thought he'd already had a card in the first half.
When does the ban come in to effect? Will he be available for the York game?

I think it will be effective next Saturday, so he would miss the York game. I don't know that for certain, though.

He was brilliant yesterday, he just chases lost causes and inevitably is going to miss a few.
Although we had the same problem yesterday as Stockport, once he was booked, he has to change his game, it was a good call taking him off.
-
he gets booked every game though. sooner or later a ref is going to see one of his wreckless lunging tackles as a straight red. wouldn't be the first time. i'd still have him in the first choice eleven every week though. he just needs a bit of managing.

He's massively important for us especially without Williams and Richman on the pitch

It's all about fine margins, Hulme seems to have modified his approach, he still wants to get his point across without getting a booking. Harrop needs to just be a little more careful with his challenges. Neither of them can contribute if they are suspended.
Thompson just manages to stay on the right side. He time wastes just enough so as not to get a booking.
