Title: Buxton Away travel
Post by: NauticaPete on January 26, 2018, 10:47:10 PM
How many are we expecting to take? Are some people going on the train? E.g. 10:55 from Hale, arr Buxton 12:48. Costs 13.10 return, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any group discount on Northern rail for some reason  :(

They usually do duo tickets, one pays full price and the other half price

There's a group off 7-8 off us going from Piccadilly 10.49 getting into Buxton for 11.48, then home bound leaving at 18.29 back into Manchester for 19.28. Was only £10 return when booked few weeks back, anyone at a loose end that fancies the trip join us on there. I'd be thinking about 150-200 robins present.

This website is very good for the high peak area, it’s updated several times a day. The long term forecast for next weekend does make pretty grim reading

You do live in Wilmslow though which shortens the journey to Macc a fair bit!
