He also seems to think our demise dates back to not getting into the League. Not, I would suggest, one of our own.

Promotion at the first attempt will bring back some pride and give everyone a much needed lift in morale. Failure to be promoted will cause major problems, it will be almost impossible to lure players of any quality and admission prices will have to be cut in half. No players and no money will mean no future.

The best i can think of is put all the clubs money on Just a Par to win the Grand National and start a rumour that Frank Lampard will be joining the club as player manager.
