Altrincham FC have announced via Twitter that Greg Wilkinson has been released from the club.
-
Still, and for evermore a club hero.
-
Disappointed!
-
Correct decision IMO. He's not what we need now or next season, thanks Greg and good luck at wherever you end up.
-
One of the only players in that shambolic midfield who could spot a pass.
Hope he wasn't asked to leave as it's a bad decision if he was.

We can't fit both him and Lawrie into the same team.....and Lawrie is the blue-eyed boy.
-
May as well leave Miller out now for what's left of his season with maybe just the odd game when he is back fully fit.
Save him for next season and get him fit and raring to go.
Sad to see Wilkinson leave.
-
The most talented midfielder at the club without a doubt and could certainly pick a pass, unfortunately just didn't seem to have enough desire to be a footballer. If he had a great game or a stinker I very much doubt his mood would have altered considerably.
-
Thanks Greg poor resigning IMO, we don't play like that anymore and we need grit and pace in midfield, defence starts at the front and Greg didn't defend well enough for me
-
Well, they've not been selecting him, have they? No real surprise really. I guess McWilliams will be next. I' think Greg would have been very useful in the Evostik, so a bit disappointed.
-
He was also the only player not signed up until the end of the season - thats why he's gone
-
Didn't see that coming. I'd rather him than Lawrie but defo a luxury.
Looks like cloth be cut for next season
-
Cost saving..............wages for next season in the Glue
-
We're in something gooey and unpleasant....and it sure ain't glue.
-
Only seen a few games this season and on his debut at home, can't remember who it was against and also away at bridge he was the best player,so that's alone is probably more than most of the shower of sh*te have achieved so probably should've stayed.
-
Just like his first spell he was great for six or seven games then faded away.

alongside a ball winning midfielder he'd be a fantastic ball player....but I agree one too many luxury players this season but would have had an impact on the glue league....a bit like Duncan needed to beef up a bit.......
Will be forever remembered for his winner V Guiseley best of luck Greg!
