Welcome to alty.

We now have 2 genuine wingers.  4-4-2 beckons

How many signings by Matt now? 4? Are we to take it he's the boss?

Or are we having another tolson situation?

Have we not learnt anything about communication ?

I'm quite convinced Heathcote is managing the team whilst acting as puppet master to Doherty and Lawton. Note how our defending at corners has returned to everyone back, a famous old Heathcote trait, rather than leaving 2 or 3 up we've been employing this season. Did us a lot of good against Fake United on Monday!

I agree. What's also noticeable is that despite Rowleys plans to provide better communication and reduce the gap between the club and supporters that he has failed miserably. We only hear from him when he's sacking a manager, where are the calls for new business involvement, plans for the future, what's happening with the manager situation?

I am glad Buzz is recognising we needed more balance in the team, hopefully drop the passenger Lawrie. Looks decent on the clip and Brownhill looked good as well. Fingers crossed for the striker.

I get the impression that Buzz and co want to shape a simple 4-4-2 around Gary Jones, with some pace and power up front to support Reeves.

It makes sense. If you look at our most successful sides over the years we've had a talisman in the middle of the park, decent wingers and a bit of magic up front. Its simple but hopefully effective.

Just hope Reeves can find the magic again.

It's not Buzz, Graham Heathcote making all the decisions

Reeves has already been told (by Heathcote) that he isn't quick enough to play in away games

None of them are quick enough if that's how we're thinking now.

If so then good as his knowledge of non league is very very good. Heathcote has apparently taken Alty Grammar to the National Finals and they were never known as footballing school. This was never going to be fixed over night but I think the team is looking a lot more balanced. It was all over the shop under Young.

Newby looked very lively and looks to be a good addition. A bit odd that he played on the left and Clee on the right though when we've just signed a big target man, surely they should play on their natural side and be getting to the bye line and crossing for Owens rather than having to cut back every time?!

Both Newby and Owens had a good match.  Very pleased with those signings.   Very very annoyed that both Reeves and Owens were taken off  :'(

Surely Lawrie should've come on for Owens though so we had an attacker on the pitch!

It was a roll up your sleves and get stuck in 2nd half.  Dont think we want Wilkinson and Lawrie on
