Enjoy the football we're playing?
Today was the first time in my life that I have ever left a game early. I also spent the first 10 minutes of the game in the New Chequers.
I then spent the first 30 minutes of the second half in Rowley's Sports Emporium and then walked out.
35 minutes of sh*te was all I needed and that says it all.
Disgusting. The only reason I will be there on NYD is to see friends.
Anybody who applauded that should be ashamed of themselves.

The third line from the bottom sums it up for a lot of people I think. I go out for a few pre match drinks, catch up with mates and have a good chin wag. At the moment the match always spoils the day.

I like you're optimism Daz but I really can't see it.

That or he puts a running track and sand pit in the ground

I'll be one of whatever number turns up. Of our group most are going because we enjoy a good drink and an away day on the train/tram is not a common occurrence. A new ground to take in is a bonus. The football is inconsequential at the moment.

You could offer me unlimited beer (no shortage of Holt''s pubs over there) and I still wouldn't fancy it.
First because I'm led to believe that the facilities and stewarding for visitors are mediaeval, and second because there's f**k all left at the bottom of the barrel we've been scraping during 2016.
I may wander down to Moss Lane on January 7th, but a date in August looks increasing more likely.

my old man used to drink holts bitter in the bluebell on moston lane, it's an acquired taste to say the least, infact it's been said that the first pint is like having a pint of rusty nails! I'll be there on NYD too after the match, drinking crystal lager. If ever two beers explained our season, it's crystal that we're a bucket of rusty nails! If you need a car park too, it has one for twenty cars, otherwise it's nuthurst road

Can I suggest that at 1 - 0 you left a tad early?

Can I suggest that at 1 - 0 you left a tad early?
You can, but you're wrong. 35 minutes of ineptitude, no ideas and an embarrassment of failures led me to believe that enough was enough. May i suggest that at 0-3 you stayed a tad too long?
-
I would suggest that if you'd left at 0-0 it wouldn't have been too early.

Going to watch Alty just feels like a chore now. I didn't get an ounce of enjoyment from going to that game yesterday. Even before we conceded there was the depressing inevitability of another crushing defeat. Sadly I think it will be at least next season before any of that will change.

The worst bit is we said this last season ...

I think many have these feelings now Jimmy, the club is dead for many me included

AFC Altrincham or Altrincham Town anyone? We'd only be 3 promotions behind Rowley FC if we started at NWCL Div 2 😊
