Post by: taxi Phil on December 07, 2015, 07:18:17 PM
We could have beaten Charlton at home on a good day. Bummer.

True enough but just thankful it wasn't Man Utd, City, Chelsea etc.

Agree missing out on a premier league side would have doubled the blow from yesterday esepcially if it had been  City or United,Charlton  may not have even made live tv but all hypothetical now .

indeed no more gutted than I was yesterday - not a massive payday, unlikely to be on TV given the number of big ties they've got to pick from Leicester v spurs, Ars v Sunderland (come on Dunc!) and a couple of other all PL games and unlikely to spring a big shock

Not a massive payday either if gate receipts in fa cup are split 50 /50

Eastleigh havent got a plum tie either, Bolton at home. Whitehawk got Everton away if they win the replay, very good draw that.

Eastleigh are perfectly capable of seeing Bolton off. Then they can get the big money in the 4th round.

I don't know, in the absence of many other NL clubs going through I think we'd easily have been on TV.

the TV money we did miss out on was the replay that would certainly have been on

Ironically, isn't Colchester's lad Harriott on loan from Charlton?

Everyone keeps on saying that, but I'm sure it's actually Charlton.

If played tomorrow Eastleigh would beat Bolton. Bolton are not going to find it easy there, they are going to have to turn up and play with confidence. My money is on Eastleigh to win it.

Surely he could do a job for Charlton at the moment

Will be interesting to see what happens - if Charlton have neglected to insert the relevant clause (and a recall one too), they're stuck - stranger things have happened
