Title: Absolute mutiny...
Post by: MarpleAlty on November 26, 2015, 10:32:25 AM
...on the Colchester forum at the moment. Let's hope they keep hold of Humes beyond the Burton game.

Also - Sordell not in the squad v Crewe - some say groin injury, some say fallout - either way, can't be a bad thing.

Suddenly feeling very confident about this one.

I think we have a decent chance but wouldn't get excited by a forum look at the Alty one,1 week we're going down the next most of the team should be playing at a higher level.

They'll get nothing at Burton, you've just got to hope they see the Alty game as the one to turn it around. And do nothing until after the cup game has been played. It'll be very tough either way, we've got to hope their supporters stay away and ours turn out in their droves. It'll not faze our lads playing in a cavernous sparsely populated stadium with two sides empty. We do it on a regular basis, and that will suit us more than them.

Someone has posted there that Humes has been sacked, according to "a mate of an inside source", he's asking the forum for confirmation / denial.

Rumours on twitter saying the same.......

Colchester forum reporting that he has indeed been sacked. Best await something official, though.

They'll put in a seasons worst performance in front of their new manager against alty to show him its not ability they are lacking and just guidance.

I've got a good feeling about this game.

As it was the Burton game was written off by CUFC, the thinking is the new regime may just get them a bounce.  It was inevitable after they moved the news conference.

He'd be out of his depth in the Evostik League.

He'd struggle because the negative elements of his past precede him, for example the claim to be the best coach in the premier league.  I'm sure he's a lovely chap and is good at coaching players, but a manager he is not.
