Wage budget £750k per year and the owner footing £480k of that. That's nuts.

Advert says he is giving it away for nothing.............maybe he will give it to us then. If it is Eastleigh, then they do have some decent players (although the usual merceneries) that we could co-opt into the squad!...........injury problems, winger problems and hardman midfielder sorted

Oh........it doesn't work like that does it  ::)

I'm always amazed by how people spend their money.

I can think of so many better ways to spend half a million a year than on a non-league football club.

Now, unless it's some kind of tax/drugs scam, you almost have to applaud people for their devotion.

Annual turnover 1mil

Playing budget 750k

I've never run a business of any form and far be it from me question anyone who has made as much money as that but a 75% turnover/wages ratio?? Blimey.

To clarify things;

Their income is 500K ish and their expenditure is £1M, 75% of which is playing budget.
The owner is paying out £500K pa out of his pocket.

By comparison,  AFC spend IRO 60% on playing/coaching staff of total expenditure which would be pretty typical.

In addition the owner (stuart Donald - if this is actually about Eastleigh which it may not be) has invested a load of dosh on the ground which I bet HE will own, NOT the club.
He is offering to give the club away but NOT the ground/assets and I'm sure he would be charging the next "owner" rent.

Another Stuckport situation could develope ::) whichever club this is.

The comments on that link are amazing. Here's Francois Victor Glasman, International Youth Soccer Educator/ Technical Coach:

I was actively looking to acquire AD Camacha fc in Madeira Promotion Bureau but that did not come through! I believe i can turn this conference club's fortune around....having the proper experience in our game! please convey my thoughts to the owner! Tell him that among all my football accomplishments, i was really proud to bring Zdenek Kroca to Luton's manager Dick Money (at that time) and low & behold, i was the man who discovered Jonathan De Guzman, and Leonardo Francois Victor Glasman

I love that the guy who posted the advert has replied to the comments too:

Thanks Francois, I will relay this to the current owner. Many thanks, Spencer

The highlight is Henry Sasu, who just comments:

ok boss

IF it is Eastleigh, the bubble has burst even quicker than I thought

I wonder whether their demise will come soon enough for the AGM Cup this year

How do we know the whole thing is not a wind-up...........the so called advert is not very professional is it (and hardly truthful either if the £10k figure is not a mistake)

My money is on Cheltenham or even Wrexham.

Seeing as neither are in the south east and bordering on the playoffs i'd guess not.

So it's somewhere around 2000 pints unless it includes hospitality as well...

It doesn't mention the south east.

You can see how they got in a mess:

"They currently have a playing budget of around 750k per season (as he was really gunning for promotion) but if this was reduced to 500k per season, then there would be a profit. So with the budget as it is at the moment (750k), he is currently having to put in approx. 40k of his own money in each month."

So if you reduce the playing budget by £250k you will make a profit but the current loss is £40k a month......someone's maths is a bit rubbish!
