TASC will once again be running coaches to as many away games as possible this year. Our aim is to break even over the season, keeping prices as low as we can and to provide a family friendly service that can be enjoyed by all. The service can only run with your continued support and we hope that we can count on it again this season.
We have booked coaches for our first two away games of the season at Guiseley and Woking and places can be booked via the club on 0161 928 1045 or at the TASC table in the Community Sports Hall on Saturday and against Forest Green.
Please note it will not be financially possible to provide travel to the third fixture at Dover Athletic. This is due to the long journey requiring the wages for two drivers meaning the hire cost is approaching four figures and we have a number of our core of regular travellers on holiday or staying down south.
The travel is run as a separate part of the Supporters' Club and must remain self-sufficient. We are delighted to announce that (with a small donation of £25 from a member at the end of the season) we managed to record a £1 profit for the travel last season. Thanks again to all who supported it; there were many challenging fixtures last season and we managed to achieve our aim.
During the Conference North promotion season we managed to build up a healthy float exclusively from coach travel which we thought we would need to use for the challenges of the longer trips in the Conference. However, we managed to keep that intact. Therefore, £150 was donated to the club in the form of three entries to the Patrons' draw for the coming season. Should a prize be won then we will think of the best way to use it to raise further funds for the Travel Club, if not, it's a donation into the Club.
We still have a float to work with and hope that, once again, we can keep it in the bank with your support.
