Had a quick look at previous league tables since the confetence went to 24 clubs and from what I could see 51points is the most points the fourth from bottom club has finished with (alty and chester) ,unless its a freak season surely any more than 51 points would keep us up?
-
I think 43 - 45 points will do the job this season, unless someone has a dramatic change of form, so we should be more or less OK
-
I think 55 points is the target to be sure, but we ought to be aiming for 60+ points given the amount of games we have left and our current position.

there no way any of the bottom 4 will get anywhere near 50 pints never mind 55
As for setting a target of 60 points, still looking down are we? Target should be 75 points

75 falls into the catagory of 60+, does it not?
I not looking down.

no its a very different catagory
75 points is another 11 wins and maybe play offs, 60 points is another 6 wins and 15th

Yeah - highest of the bottom 4 is Alfreton. Assuming they can up their performances to manage a point a game they will finish at 44 points - they are currently averaging 0.93 points per game. The 3 below are way worse in terms of current performance, so have no significant chance of survival.

75 maybe playoffs you would get in with 69 maybe 70 but still way beyond us also we won't be anywhere near relegation therefore not much to play for Pehaps it wouldev been a good idea to win the trophy

Since the conference went to 24 teams, the totals required to reach 5th place are (most recent first):
77
80
81
78
78* - 44 games only, as Chester's record expunged
81
81
78
By my reckoning that means 12 or 13 wins are required from the last 15 games. All but impossible IMO.
-
I forgot about the 46 matches you will need 75 maybe 76 to get up
-
Points per game suggests you will need 77 points for play offs
Shame about all the dropped points against sh*t

Alfreton have some crazy American backer now and who knows they may well improve to a level beyond a point per game.............several months ago I posted that I thought their Chairman will spend money when he has to in order to stay up............I would be worried if we were just above them at the moment

I think our first target is 3 points on Saturday

I reckon Telford could knock back 50 or so. Nuneaton would be on the floor after 10.
-
nothing less than the play offs will redeem Lee! ;D
-
I reckon 47 perhaps 48 points will be needed for safety this season.
