Title: Community Sports Hall Funding: TASC Appeal Update
Post by: Brian Flynn on December 13, 2014, 07:11:44 AM
I am very pleased to advise that The Altrincham Supporters Club (TASC) appeal to raise £10,000 for a high quality audio-visual system in the new Community Sports Hall has now reached a figure of £9020.

A further 11 people have donated this week, including a fan who lives in Austria....the first donation from outside the UK.

This means that almost 90% of the target has been achieved in 3 weeks from more than 70 supporters who have now contributed to this project....a magnificent effort!

The Audio-Visual system has now been installed & will be making its debut on Sunday at The Community Sports Hall Open Day from 11am-4pm, with the Manchester United v Liverpool game being shown from 1.30pm.

To complete this project, we are now looking for 10 more people to make a contribution of £100 or commit to setting up a standing order of £10 per month for 10 months, with the first payment being made this month.

If you would like to support this mission, you can contact me to get payment/standing order details by email (brianflynn59@hotmail.com) or phone (0161 610 1193/07860 561011). Alternatively, you can telephone Altrincham Football Club on 0161 928 1045, email office@altrinchamfootballclub.co.uk or call in at the ground from 9.30am-4.30pm between Monday-Friday next week.

Had the pleasure of seeing it inside today.

What a superb facility that will serve us for years to come.   Great turnout as well, good steady flow of people coming and going in the hour or so I was there.

The quality of the pictures from Sky TV on the projector screens is first class.

You could even see the tears on Brendon Rodgers face when United's third goal went in.

Plenty of room for everyone to sit down and have a drink before the match next Saturday

No need to go to Costellos or the King Bill pre match.

Get down there early have a few drinks and support the club in the process.

Years of practice Brian, I've managed to squirrel it away so well I'm not even sure of its provenance.

Was it ever decided if the bar was going to have a name?

Of will it just be known as the Community Sports Hall (Bar)?

For me, it should be The mark maddox community hall.

He probably wouldn't take the honour,  but he is the definition of selfless.

So they should be at the price SKY TV is charging!

In his column in last Saturday's issue of the Robins Review, an indignant Grahame Rowley disclosed that the subscription fee to SKY is the eye-watering sum of £548 + VAT per month.

(S)ALTY, you'll need to order a few more pints to help finance that!

Does the new bar stock Tanqueray No. Ten or even Hendrick's (with a slice of cucumber)?
