It's going to go to a replay.  The winner is drawn at home to Sheffield United, with a bumper pay day and a live TV slot.  We lose the replay. Corrected for you

3-1 win, after falling behind to an early fluke. Reevesy re-discovers his shooting boots.

Leicestershire locals come out and point "what's that dad"...."it's an away support son".

I predict a 1-0 win in a similar sort of game to Kendal Town a few years ago.

Reeves to score the only goal after 28 minutes.

I think this is a match in which Gillespie could make a useful contribution if allowed to start. Fed from Dens pushing forward, hat-trick! :)

Since buryalty and I are at a gig on Tuesday evening, it's a nailed on draw and a 7-0 win in the replay  >:(

A new era for Alty in the cup. With a comfortable win against Barwell we then get a couple of decent home games in the next couple of rounds and we go on to generate some decent prize money which we can use to fund the squad.

Barwell 0 - 3 Alty Reeves(2) Mault

Difficult away win similar to game at Leek a few years ago followed by massive TV coverage as Alty play away at Sheffield United as Ched Evans makes his return to the club.

If we're 'on it' we should win, but who knows.

Alty 2-1. Reeves double. Own goal from Marshall set forum up for heated debate.

2-0 to the Alty.  Good, solid performance with a goal in each half.  Few alarms.  Barwell have a lively winger who catches the eye.

How can you consciously contemplate? There is no debate.

We'll just have to stretch out and wait under the covered away end

Think we'll have enough.

I think the team even with squad players (should they be picked) bar maybe Wilko should have enough to beat Barwell. Not Wilkos sort of game.

4-4-1-1 and a 3-1 win.

Barwell furious Scott Leather isn't sent off for uncharacteristic elbow on their no.10

They will be in our face for 90mins and it will be a right battle. We will miss 20+ clear chnaces and have 2 pens saved and lose with a 90th min og.

Then I woke up  :D

If reports are to be believed they are pretty industrial, we will have to make sure we voice our displeasure to the officials at the earliest opportunity should there be any 'roughing up'

"our fantastic FA Cup Fourth qualifying round tie against one of the non-league’s absolute giants, Altrincham FC."

Is he Frank Sidebottom's brother?

Not sure whether that is defeatist or a cunning piece of reverse psychology designed to catch us off guard. Either way, it's funny that he chooses to big up the 3rd-best centre back in the squad. And Mr Goals, who hasn't scored in about 7 games (NOT a pop, just an observation, before anyone starts).

reverse psychology - they have checked our recent cup record and know how to play on it.
