Title: Barnet Boozers
Post by: Randy Konk on September 16, 2014, 10:17:17 PM
Making the trip to Barnet on Sat, can anyone recommend any away supporter friendly pubs for a pre match drink?

Wasn't there tonight but hope we can turn things round quickly. I hope we aren't still talking about playing well but losing come April.

The Hive is located in a real pub desert, suggest finding a location nearby on the Jubilee Line, very little anywhere near the ground.

Jubilee line isn't working on Saturday, so we'll need to get a bit creative with this one.

We are doing euston to Edgware tube, Camden on way back, it seems the hive is fairly near Edgware and there are buses for the infirm. Not sure pre match but at euston for 11 so may have a few around there or also do Camden prematch

plenty of pubs in Edgware, and it is only a short walk. Turn left out of station and keep going across the A5 by Masons Arms on corner, 10 mins

Also using Edgware for pre match pub and walking to the ground, got about 4-5 people from university coming with me as well.

The Masons isn't great.
There are 3 better options all on the journey from Edgware to the Hive.
Turn right at the junction where the Masons Arms is and go to The Three Wishes

Continue straight on and go to Moranos which is next to Canons park tube.

The other option is to go left at the junction with the A5 for The Change of Hart

No problem,  all the Pubs are 15-20min walk to the ground.  There is also a bar for away fans in the West stand that you can get to after going through the turnstyles.

Sadly The Hive tend to prevent away fans using the Bar in the East stand.  Have a safe journey and lets hope for a decent game.

Certainly changed a lot since I last looked.  Sorry about that. :)
