Surprised Utd use OT for U21 games.
They were going to use Moss Lane but needed the extra capacity once it was confirmed that DW was playing  :D :D

Surprised Utd use OT for U21 games.

Isn't there a rule that the club's main stadium needs to be used for a proportion of the u21 games, or did I make that up?

Either that or a certain number have to be played in stadia of a certain size. It's part of the attempts to make the U21s league as close to playing in the Premier League as possible.

A good learning experience for Duncan last night.

United were so much in charge in the first half that he didn't really get the opportunity to test Luke Shaw's defensive credentials, spending a lot of the time having to defend as United totally dominated. He created a great chance straight from the kick off at 3-0 with a fine run through the inside right channel but a woeful first touch by his colleague led to the ball going straight to the keeper.

Having been so outclassed in the first half, the Black Cats responded well in the second half & Duncan, who no longer had a £30 million left back to contend with, started to see a fair bit more of the ball, leading to some trademark runs & going close on a couple of occasions.

Full credit to United, they were outstanding in the first half & Sunderland deserve praise for sticking with it after the break. It wasn't an easy game for Duncan, but he still managed to have a positive impact & was always Sunderland's most likely creative threat.

How irritating to get out of work early, spend money on a bus ticket for this only to be denied entry due to carrying a laptop. Hardly ever have internet and not very Premier League savvy, so was completely unaware of this!

I wonder what they intend people who go to matches on their way home from work to do? Perhaps they should provide lockers.
