Title: WorldNet 14
Post by: bumble on July 18, 2014, 12:42:27 PM
Altrincham Supporters play in a league system and every year the league holds a 2 day tournament in Preston.

The tournament takes place this weekend, and the team has entered. Our group contains Preston North End, Runcorn and Bury.

Anyway, Next season we're hoping to play more league fixtures next season include away fixtures when Alty play away.

Despite rumours, its not a closed squad. If any fan wants to come down and train (8-9 on a monday night), drop me a DM or send me a message Facebook.

Is Danny Boshell playing? Because if he is, then it's a disgrace.

The lack of updates is disgraceful.  Currently injured / future former players are keen to hear about progress.

A very young squad of 14 travelled including two new players in the squad. Very young sqaudy by WorldNet standards (average age of 22) - were placed in a Group of death according the final results and those we spoke to.

Our group consisted of :- Preston (Cup finalists losing to Halifax - the same side we drew with a few months ago) , Runcorn (eventual plate winners with a 4-0 win in the final) and Bury all saw defeats.

This morning saw a very poor official allow an offside striker to push Alty/England No.1 in to the goal after a long punt forward after just 35 seconds, followed by a fluke long range effort fly in from Chorleys half. The two early goals saw the depleted squad of 13 (Matt Kennerley suffered a bad injury in the group stages ended the tournament on crutches) fall 3-1 to Chorley this morning. Our two RB's are now on crutches...

We played 2 friendlies against Darlington and Barnsley seeing a win and draw. A certain poster maker cooly tucking away his penalty in the shoot-out

Poor results, but with a few players missing. Steep learning curve after a tough first season.

Theres no training this Monday.
