Yes.

Twice the player Boshell is and he'll only get better.
Like I said at the time, losing Boshell was no big deal.
-
I agree with what Brian Flynn said in commentary last night about us playing at a higher tempo with Wilkinson in the team. I think that's how we need to play and Boshell, for all his virtues, did tend to slow things down a bit.

Agreed. Some of his deft touches last night reminded me of a young Graham Heathcote.

The only thing I can remember Boshell doing was passing the ball to players on the other team. Wilkinson will contribute forward momentum and goals. Last night he even tried a carbon copy of the one he scored for Stalybridge at Moss Lane.

A goal scoring midfielder just what the doctor ordered.
Will only improve aswell.

Praise indeed.

No daft touches then?

Big fan of Bosh and still think his ability to retain possession is missed. However I've only seen Wilkinson a couple of times (for us) and agree that overall he makes us a more effective team in that our strengths are clearly going forward. Ideal situation, Wilkinson on when we're chasing, Bosh on when we're seeing a game out. That was never going to happen though was it?
An excellent replacement either way.

we just need another king and barrow to play with him and we would only need three in midfield

He's a little lacksadaisical at times but he certainly adds something to the team - if nothing else he's given Sean Densmore a new lease of life.
Sadly and predictably some people seem to think Boshell is therefore not a good player. However, apart from being incorrect it's missing the point slightly. He may have replaced him in the sense of one in one out but he's not the same player. You'd actually need to compare how Jake Moult is currently doing Boshell's job (very well at times not so at others imo) to see how good the (unplanned) business is.
I thought his cross come shot for Stalybridge the other year was a fluke but, while it probably was, from my early initial views of him I would wager that he'll actually score one or two more like that for us. Every time he strikes it he ball seems to bend and/or dip viciously.

That gave me a wonderful image - Kingy and Frank Sinclair on opposing sides..... :P

ADT has been conspicuously absent since we signed Greg.
We should be grateful Greg can afford the bus fare all the way from Tameside ;D
