And they were a drunken disgrace intent on antagonising the home supporters.segregation is must for Saturday, they are bringing a coach load with them, if it rains then tough, let's have it right, we weren't even given a toilet at Brackley.

Think your going overboard pete it's a big match because we are playing a team who at worst will ease into playoffs and likely to win the league and with us hopefully challinging that's why it's big I don't see no massive fan rivals

I wonder if Medallion man will be making the trip

I presume smackhead Turley will be between the posts trying to snort the white lines

It would be nice to beat these and send them back to there sh*thole of a ground pointless. Leave em behind the goals in the open air.

3-1 Alty  Clee, Densmore and Lawrie
Att 843. (58) from Brackley.

Cmon Alty we owe them one >:(

Nothing to do with rivalry jimmy, just don't won't some chicken head stood next us all afternoon trying to get a rise and then describing it as "banta"

Go to start segregated at the very least whilst we see what comes.

No rivalry at all. they simply have a group that behave provocatively under the heading of banter.

Yesterday a group decided to stand right next to the Boston fans and deliberately throw beer at them when they scored.  Hilarious.

another reason to dislike brackley is that's where liquid gold are from , this wont mean anything to most people under 40

I dont usually promote an 'eye for an eye' but the way our fans were treated in the play-off 2nd leg, there should be segregation and I hope it rains.

I'm normally Mr lets build bridges and rise above it and show the opposition some hospitality.

put 'em on the open terrace, lock the toilets, close the snack bar and tell them if they want stewards to bring their own.

....be nice if we had heaters in our covered terrace and free barbecue or something.....

Ferriby travel to Telford (0-0)
Boston United play Harrogate Town - boston are topsy turvey and harrogate need some results to get back into the pack
Hednesford have a long trip to hoof ball specialists.

Altrincham 1-1 Brackley
Walshaw 47

Att: 904 (61 away)

This will be a hard game and I reckon we'll go behind on 24 minutes, just after Reeves hits the post with a header. We come out guns blazing in the second half and Walshaw scores from close range. The rest of the game is end to end and Brackley hit the bar in the last minute.

now i very rarely lose my composure...but i swear to god i don't know how managed to hold my tongue, perhaps it was the fact we played so bad i was actually ashamed of some of our players for not showing what they had shown throughout the season  :'(

I got the impression at Brackley that Turley actually thrives on being barracked.

"You're just a sh*t Simon Cowell" was one of my favourite songs of last season, but I think we should perhaps lay off him on Saturday.

Turley thrives off it, it makes him play better.

We should ignore the clown and concentrate on our own team instead of boosting his ego.  We rarely have the last laugh against that man...

Take comfort in the fact that ten years from now they will be known as AFC Brackley playing in the Rothmans Sunday Methodist Quiz League Division four South.

As I said on Facebook, to be fair to Brackley fans (and who wants to be fair to them I know) they are just along for the ride and when it ends they only go back to where they started.

I'm surprised there aren't more press articles on the way they run, with a benefactor who isn't a control freak covering the wages.  It would be a lot of chairmans dream.

I'm surprised their crowds stay so low, they have a quality team and win every week!

The question is will LS set them up in the 3-4-1-2 formation or his favoured 4-4-2.

I suspect it will be the latter, unfortunatly.

I like the way for a game against a side that is also up the top end of the table we have kept our cards close to our chest. There's been no player update after training, no build up to the match in the press and no mention of any new players or formations or potential starting 11s, good work, keep the f**kers guessing and let them have 20 minutes to change things around when they get the team sheets tomorrow :)

I was thinking the same before. Considering it is the first time this season we are playing at home against someone with us in the table, and who we expected to challenge for the title with, it has been a low key build up. Hopefully we can continue where we left off against Guiseley and we don't have to rely on a last minute volley to win the game :)

It's a very tough decision I think, I'm not sure what I'd do.

I think they will fly at us from the off so we must be solid.

Then again we are at home and need to try and make things happen.

The fact they have conceded four goals in all competitions is incredible.

I'd play the wing backs and lawrie behind the 2 forwards they will expect 4/4/2 and it will be food and drink to them

A win is vitally important tomorrow.
If we only draw and then lose at theirs they will have taken four points off us.We can't afford that.

For what it's worth, I don't think Brackley will fly at us from the off at all. They are a team who don't seem to score that many goals, but concede virtually none! I think they will be very cagey against us and it is for US to fly at THEM from the off and try and catch them off guard. We have the quality going forward, there is no doubt about that - I just worry that should we not get off to a flier, they'll just slice through us in the second half. An early Reeves or Walshaw goal may make it a bit difficult for them to actually win the game today and I think that is what the result depends on.
Then again, I could be wrong!

Fair play, just proves my point that it's quite a tough call as there is a fair few differing opinions.

If they sit back and let us come at them then we will score so I hope you're right.

Great result and great performance. Everyone defended from Reeves and Walshaw back, and for 90% the game the gaps were closed down. I don't know if this was a poor performance by Brackley or their normal game, but any attacking threat they had was stifled. I got the feeling the Alty players wanted payback.

I would've gone for the 5 at the back however the 4-4-2 worked I'd also say its the opposite as the usual system is more attack minded and can leave us open at the back
