Title: Tuesday match thread
Post by: Mrs Warbouys on April 09, 2013, 10:54:10 AM
Brackley v Vauxhall Motors

Colwyn Bay v Droylsden

FC Halifax v Bishop's Stortford

Gainsborough v Histon

Harrogate Town v Gloucester

Stalybridge v Guiseley

I presume we will be watching both bishop Stortford at Halifax and Guiseley at Stalybridge, handy they are both reasonably local

In order to be able to watch both we would need a manager based in Yorkshire and an assistant in Tameside!  Thank you Conference fixtures committee.

Halifax have brought that Moke on at HT and sound like they are dominating.  Can't see anything but them winning to be honest.

Overall I'm more than satisfied with those results.  Gloucester must have put a damn good shift in tonight.  Stupid celtic beat the odds and got a point - cheers.  Yep, another good evening for Alty.

Attention turns to Oxford and BPA tomorrow, but Thursday is now almost upon us, we need Nicky Clee to get well.

I make them 2 clear of harrogate with 2 games in hand.  They need to hold their nerve and they should still be OK.  It's about bottle, and if they start to miss penalties, fail to beat ten men, lose a lead twice in one game etc. the nerves can go.  This will be close.

'Fax go again on Thursday V Corby at home.

Its good for us because Halifax will probably really need to beat Harrogate now and vice versa rather than them play out a contrived draw.

Yes, but I really don't want Harrogate winning it as that brings them right back at us.

Barrow and Telford back down to their natural level. Huge game for Stockport at home vs mid table Dartford on Saturday. Given their away at Kiddy on the final day they need to win that one.

Think you're being very previous here, they are unbeaten in last EIGHT away games . After a tough game thursday at Guiseley and they will have had two more days rest than us, I wouldnt be surprised if we lost or drew vs Bishops, thank god the Flaggers are sponsoring the game ;) ;) ;)

At this stage of the season there are no guaranteed easy games. No definite wins, draws or losses. The only facts are that with 18 DAYS TO GO, 10 TEAMS are chasing 4 PLAY OFF PLACES.

Guiseley on 83 points, Harrogate in 6th are 20 points with 6 to play therefore can only get 18 points

Vauxhall motors cant catch us with their 3 games to go

3 Playoff spots up for grabs, the only teams left fighting for them are Brackely Alty Halifax Harrogate BPA Gainsbourgh Soihull Moors Gloucester

If Gloucester fail to beat Staylbridge then they will be officially out of the PO race

Despite all George's attempts at grounding us all, I see it as Us, Halifax and Harrogate fighting for 2 playoff spots.

Having said that, many, many years of getting excited and then fed up when we stumble have made me (almost) as cautious as him!  ;)
