Title: Altrincham v Gainsborough Predictions
Post by: markecky on April 27, 2012, 12:58:26 PM
Forecast tomorrow is for much apathy with outbreaks of Reeves chanting :)

I rate them as one of the best teams I have seen.

If we have some sort of of team out there with injuries I predict:

Alty 1                 Gainsborough 1
Reeves Pen 24   Some bloke on £750 a week ( 84 )

1014 (264 from Gainsboro)

Sorry you have got this one all wrong- nothing to play for so will coast to a 4 - 1 win with a farewell reeves hat trick - there will be no apathy as lots of teasers will be drunk singing all game for Reeves and Andy Green :D

Altrincham 0-0 Gainsborough

Att: 907 (158 away)

Reeves misses a pen in the second half but that elusive clean sheet is finally ours.

They get 500 at home, don't they?

Surely they'll bring 250 absolute minimum for a game of this magnitude?

Outcome will depend on two factors - (a) what sort of side we can put out given injuries, illness etc as reported on club website & (b) how the selected side approaches the game. I think we can take it as read that Gainsborough will turn up - they know they have to get something from the game to ensure a play-off place and to have any chance to play at home in the semi they have to win. I suspect they will get the draw as they looked an efficient and very competent side three months ago, but if we have a strong side out and approach the game positively we could yet win it. Crowd should at least match our League average and may exceed it, though it may not be four figures.

I fancied us to win this because they're not great on the road. Then I read the list of absentees.

Despite Duncan Watmore opening his account, we'll lose 2-3.

After that player's comment on the main site: 6-0 Alty with 4 from Reeves

If there was any pressure on us we'd lose this 4-0...
2-1 Alty win with a Reeves farewell brace. Attendance 1161 (150 away)

Cracking goal from Duncan as well.
