Post by: RocketDan on January 04, 2012, 07:35:58 PM
shouldnt we be having a season ticket holder entry for a £5 to get a few united and city floaters down?

Why not? It gets a good few extra people in and if you think about it the club aren't really losing any money because the regulars here aren't gonna have United and City season tickets and will still pay £13 or £15.

How many extra DOES it bring in ? And do ANY of them ever come back ?

In principle it's a good idea, but I think it's probably too late in the day to do it for the Colwyn Bay game. It needs to be in the local paper and a good week or two of other publicity if it's to attract sufficient attention.

Good thinking though.   :)

Eastbourne at the end of last season was a good example. But I guess the increase in the crowd was mostly because of the fact it was the last game and a win to stay up etc...

Only if it is £5 for Alty season ticket holders to watch the Cup match between United and City(I don't mean watching it on telly)

I would be interested to know how many utd/city season ticket holders do take up the offer....don't think there is any way of tracking how many come back short of electronically tagging them though.....

I remember when we beat Oxford the total attendance was 1,800 or so. I'm sure they only brought about 3-400. Which would suggest that was one example of it working very well.

Obviously I don't know how many come back. But our attendances this season are certainly okay. We seem to have a good, loyal hardcore. Occasional offers probably help in getting some hooked and ensuring they stick around during the bad times.

Not as a matter of course. It's a worthwhile promotion occasionally but it shouldn't be done every single time neither of them have a game, could be half a dozen times a season.
