Nice idea but a non starter, the rake of the terrace is inadequate, we would need more exits due to evacuation times and we'd lose capacity beyond the magic 6000  number. If we could add a few on the old Chequers end corner together with space for friends we could improve our disabled seating to an acceptable level. Worth a thought.

Reducing the capacity below 6000 would indeed be aweful.

In fairness the anyone our stands would need remaking to be able to fit the seats in so people couuld see.

That would be a good idea, although I usually stand I've sat in the Main Stand quite a few times and the legroom is starting to become a big problem for me!

Why not? When will we ever get 6,000 people into the ground? When we play a team in the FL in the cup, we only get 3,000 tops, and if we play anyone bigger then we probably won't play them at Moss Lane. The 6,000 figure is completely hypothetical IMO as there is actually no way you can fit that many people in who all have a decent view of the game/access to facilities such as toilets, ect.

Firstly its what we'll need should we ever come good again and challenge for the league, secondly having watched the club for years and seen many crowds nudging 6000 in Moss Lane plus one of 7800 the ground can easily cope and people can see.y

why not?  2k on seats that will be generally empty. or need storage (where, how long at what cost?) or 2k on strengthening the squad or possible overnights during our hectic run-in? I know where the 2k goes if I was signing the cheques.

Is it just me being incredibly stupid (very likely) or is 1000 seats x 0.99 actually under £1000?

Why do we want seats there?

Nobody sits in the seats we've got?

Sitting down at the match is sh*t

No seats on the popular side - they will stop us having a ciggy - and you need a fag occassionally when watching the Alty

When the centre section of the popular was reroofed as part of the overall ground imrprovements round about 2000 (year, not cost) it was made higher in case it was ever decided to put seating there. The level of the base would be rasied to put in steeper tiers for the seating, hence why the roof was made higher.

Has anyone mentioned yet how the green netting round the TV scaffolding restricts viewing?
