Title: Metrolink - Down until Thursday!

Hi All,

Just read this on Manchester Online, no trams between Old Trafford and Altrincham until Thursday... anyone planning on travelling to the game tomorrow by Metrolink will need to make alternative arrangements....

Cud do with someone posting this on the darlo forum,train from picc via stockport will be their best bet now

Great planning by metrolink that, there are replacement buses running tho. And I doubt they'll take long as it only took 40 mins to old trafford 2nyt (that's with match day traffic)

Replacement buses should be up and running by tomorrow hopefully... the ones today were a shambles! Prob worth allowing extra time if anyone is getting the bus.

In fairness Duke don't think Alty v Darlo is worth them putting back the works for a day, they prob had to wait for united to finish tonight. Can hardly sarcastically say great planning.

Just as long as there is no phantom enginering works on the wonderful Northern Rail service to Chester.

Its not metrolink work, gippos have nicked the powerlines again.The darlo fans can get the train straight thru to the airport from darlington and get the 18 bus or a taxi from the railink to the ground,if any darlo fans are reading this fone a private hire car from the railink on 01619281111 as the black cabs are considerably more expensive from the airport ranks

Added to that, airport black cab drivers really really like short journeys to Alty.

Also avoid washway road outside the Vine pub its down to one lane Altrincham bound.

My remark was before I knew that it was gypos nt the metrolink themselves who had decided to stop the mets from alty to old trafford on the day utd play at home. Took forever to get home (but that's another matter). Darlo fans will be fine
