Agree with Ballers, although I would probably start with Denham and have Dale as a substitute.
Definitely need Welch at the back.

On a side note I really do not (and never have) rate Welch, I think he is sluggish and clumsy, I know that sounds harsh but I really don't think he's good enough for the conference, he'd be a very good central defender in the conf north i'd imagine. I'd put him in the Peyton and O Neill category.
-
Longman, Welchy was a mainstay of the Accrington side that won the Conference in 2005-06. He's been a bit injury wracked since but I think you have to say he's conference class.
-
I agree, we've definitely not seen the best of Welchy yet. The effort he made to get himself fit this summer was a credit to him and shows what a great attitude he's got.
-
and the fact that GH was more than happy to take him back shows how he has faith in Welchy's ability.

Ballers,
He may well have been Conference class back then but I'm not so sure that he is now.
I thought he had a poor game yesterday: errant distribution and looked rather ponderous.
Conceded the free kick that led to their goal.
I can only hope that his form improves as he gets more games under his belt.
-
Personally I thought Welchy was knackered in the last 15 mins but 1st full game of the season. hopefully his match fitness will return soon

It also made me chuckle when we was told 'give anymore jipp like that and you'll find yourself sat here' by Heathcote
-
HE IS NOT, NOT, NOT A LEFT BACK.

Well, I agree Cult, I was just saying that Welchy could quite easily come back with the show us your medals argument and for that reason alone could you put himin the Peyton/O'Neill category? Then again Warren was an England semi-pro international...

and possibly why he was uncertain at left side of 3 centre backs yesterday. Alan Hansen is quite adamant that being played on the wrong side of central defence makes a huge difference.
Just another reason why Greg Young was different class I'm afraid and so hard to replace.
-
I thought Welch did better than Joseph at that position. I also thought Joseph put in his best performance so far yesterday. Whens Buzz back.
-
Joseph is cack
-
Why, he was good yesterday?
He wasn't good yesterday, certainly not in the first half.
