Indeed, superb effort from all the lads tonight, immense work rate got the clean sheet and result.

Yes the defence did well but the midfield and forwards chased everything, closed the milkmen down and took a lot of pressure off the back 4 compared to previous games.

What a strike to win a game. 8)

Our next two games at Halifax and Grimsby take us to grounds where we won our last visit. BELIEVE !!!!

I wasn't going to go tonight. Until about 5 o'clock I was going to work instead, but unexpectedly I got the chance to give work a miss and boy, how glad I am that I did!
It was a classic 0-0 to be honest. Just didn't see the goal coming for either side with from what I can remember just one shot each on target in the entire game. I'd have been delighted with that too and in truth it was only a goal like that that could have decided it. Was so pleased that Lee played a more conservative formation - we're not that bad when the numbers are evened up in midfield. I'd still take Macc's back four though, not super talented, but well drilled and disciplined. Having said that, our entire defence had a good day at the office for a change and Stuart's save from their one shot on target after 80 mins was bloody awesome.
Jake was my motm - don't know who actually got it, but if it wasn't him it'd be a travesty. Let's not get too excited, even a point at either Grimsby or Halifax would be fantastic, but at least we got a result against our dreaded rivals and KEPT A BLOODY CLEAN SHEET!!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for that oh-so-typical Stuart Coburn save around the 80' mark then we would all be in a very different mood tonight.

Never saw you tonight mate but that was worth the drive...

I think the main thing about tonight was that the best team won and it was no fluke. Our lads got stuck in but were controlled in their aggression. The stand out for me was how we worked as a defensive unit for our first clean sheet of the season, v impressive. Macc i was expecting more from, they were poor, they didn't create enough. Anyway, what a night! We must now build on this.
