There's trains back to London every 20 minutes on Sunday's up until the last departure at 20:55

The connections especially at Stockport seem to be the problem. And praying that there are no engineering works between Redhill and London. Normally it should take about 4 hours Redhill to Alty but not on a Sunday. Lets see what the TV people dictate.

I really hope that this match is not switched to a Sunday when train times are awful. I couldn't get to Burton on a Sunday but Saturday would have been no problem.
Am I correct that the Sunday FA CUP 1st Round matches last season were 2pm Kick off times?

As Figgy pointed out earlier in the thread, there are several league clubs alone where away fans are exposed to the elements. You want cover then you pay extra. If it can happen there it can happen here.

It isnt ideal, and it isnt about being deliberately unhospitable. But we need to put our own fans first.

I totally agree.

It will be Plymouth or Dover away ;)

I think we are making an issue out of nothing. The away end is the open Chequers End - end of story.
Why should home fans be inconvenience because soft away fans don't like getting wet.
Any away fans that enter the home end should be ejected from the ground.
I know two wrongs don't make a right, but we have been treated very badly over the last 15 months at some away grounds.

"Aleks Kolarov added to City's injury nightmare as he limped off in Serbia's defeat by Portugal" according to the pitiful Manchester Weekly News.

Pellegrini wants to get his arse down to our place if he wants to know what an REAL injury nightmare is. He must be down to his last 20 fit internationals. Pathetic.

This was the game when AFTER he had been substituted he then got sent off for protesting from the dugout.

Doesn't suit me either and I live 40mins drive away.
I have a busy Saturday morning with the kids until 12:30pm and enjoy my Saturday afternoon free.
A home televised game would suit me better.

It is a great idea. Liverpool is not a big enough city for 2 teams. They should amalgamate and with all the infighting the new club will be gone, then they have no team. All that would be left is memories and their jealousy of Manchester. ;D

We should have won by 3 or 4 but to be fair the opportunities we had were missed as a result of great goalkeeping/defending rather than squandered chances. The penalty decision at the end was ridiculous as referee was 2 yards away, yet looked to his assistant for a decision and he was at least 10 yards further away. How they didn't pinch a point in the last minutes beats me.

We were treated very well by the stewards. We were greeted politely and the staff were very helpful when I requested medical attention for my son at half time. It did feel like we were in Jail, but the stewards were so polite it defused any fear of intimidation. Completely opposite to our treatment at nearby Barnet last season. I have no problem with such segregation, although I personally do not think it is necessary.

The man is a thieving piece of sh*t.

This is a risk you run with squad players that don't get regular games or cant get into the side.

On the other side of the coin are nice decent blokes like Greg Wilkinson and Kyle Perry, plus to be fair many others we have had down the years.

The gap seems to be widening between some peoples view of what is legally right and morally right, when it comes to assessing what is right or wrong.

My dream for over 50 years is for Alty to be a Football League Club.

As for international football, I support 2 teams - Rep of Ireland and like several other Alty fans, whichever team is playing England!
Seriously, most other nationals (including Irish and Jocks) don't give a f*** about England. The continued reference to 1966 irritates us, especially as it was won by manipulating fixtures so every England game was at Wembley and the Germans were cheated in the final. Thankfully there is more chance of Alty being a league club that this happening again. There shouldn't be an England team. It should be a British team.

1. This was an oversight and an apology has been issued.

2. Why is it that some people think fans of our opponents, especially those of ex-league clubs should receive VIP treatment.

3. I know that 2 wrongs don't make a right, but look how we were treated at some away grounds last season.

4. I hope Cheltenham fans enjoy their trip to Aldershot and its a pity that they are not going to Barnet.

Are the 2 players that were sent off on Saturday suspended for today or does the ban only kick in next Saturday?

Once and only once did what seems to be a zonal marking system come adrift and that was the goal.

Is that not like saying only once did a seemingly unsinkable hull get breached by an iceberg and that was the sinking...??
It reminds me of my 11 year old son complaining that I wont let him walk to school on his own because he does not look properly while crossing roads.
He says its not fair because one day I caught him crossing in between cars without looking (I was watching for cars but he didn't know that). He insists the other 9 times he crossed the road that day he was looking but I wasn't there to check!!!! Hopefully I will get through to him that some things in life don't allow for mistakes.
