Thread on the Conference Forum

I was checking my YouTube video's referrals from other websites and found this, absolutely bizzarre comments on how we run our club. Read it to see what I mean, apparently the only reason we have survived as a club is because of Manchester United money...

"TBF the obvious comparison to make with Alty is Crawley.

Both are now going wildly beyond their means and are heavily dependent on the whims of unknown shadowy figures"

wtf!!!!!

I think we need to dig out the date we last paid a transfer fee for a player.  That sets our finances in context.

I wonder how much of this is borne out of jealousy and bitterness?  Here we are playing at BSP level, a full time league in all but name yet we keep on surviving.  This causes the "bigger" clubs embarassment, especially when we beat them.

As for Alty taking advantage of our proximity to MUFC - surely that's what a responsible businesss does.  We have identified a potential source of income and tried to make the most of it.  Lancs CCC have a car park arrangement through the winter allowing MUFC to use their car parks FOR A FEE.  Personally I think we lose out because of all the prem clubs in the area in terms of media coverage.

Comparing Alty with Crawley is frankly immature and pathetic.

I had no idea it was a joke, I just saw that my video had been posted on conferenceforum.co.uk and upon reading what else was I supposed to think? It looked pretty genuine and I did actually read it through twice to see if it was just people having a laugh but it looked serious enough for me to share it on here. Ah well

I thought he was a laugh. He seemed to get a bit miffed all of a sudden when a few people were having a laugh with him, which was only friendly.

His greatest rant was the one that went on about Accrington smelling of piss  :D

That forum is really just for jesting, I really wouldn't worry about anything on there. It can be a bit of fun if you accept it as it is but it is very cliquely.

I was heavily unfamiliar with the customs of that forum it was the first time I'd ever been on it, just went with my initial interpretations of what I saw
