Hyde United have agreed to sell star striker Gareth Seddon to Northwich Victoria" claims the Manchester Evening News. The Tigers were recently asking £25,000 for the front-man.

Bloody hell they're going to be some force next season, but at what cost?

You know the plan...it works a treat most seasons at these noddy clubs like Vics and Crawley..a reminder for those that don't..

1) Three months in with crowds at 697  "Town Must Back Us" plea from the board in paper.

2) Wait 2 weeks, then set bullsh*t target of 2,000 for game x..get 914 and say "Does Town want Conference Football?"

3) Panic, release players, cutback, unsettle manager and  announce "We can't fund this forever losing £xx,000" a week" as if its a shock.

4) Announce club for sale, agree CVA and rob local tradesmen of Christmas presents

5) Start again, all smiles without a care in the world

6) Sign more players.......

Cue at least 2 vics fans coming on barking on about how well the club is being run, how many fans they expect next season, how many players they currently have, how its all because we're jealous!

Secondly, cue a thread on the vics forum or confjizz going on about how bitter we are, and how we should support our own club.

Its a shame, but this time I cant see any alty fan having sympathy like last time. Once bitten, twice bitten again, third time laughing our heads off!

Still cannot see why the 'new money' guys at Vics are financing the club. Why would they take on the debt and then create more - what can they gain ?..................I keep waiting and thinking that any day soon "all will be revealed" and we will all understand their motives.

However; much as I agree with Ecky that the standard 'does the town want a team' format could be a likely outcome, at the moment these guys have shown no signs of this. In fact they currently seem to enjoy spending their money on a football team for nothing other than watching the games - bizarre

Having had conversation with someone at Hyde, Vics might have another problem as Hyde not happy with the way they approached Seddon.

Why? Did they approach him on Facebook?
