Couldn't go tonight.

Any thoughts?

Altrincham FC First Team / Squad Numbers
« on: July 04, 2022, 05:41:20 PM »
As it's a bit quiet on here, I thought of something new we can speculate about...

We have an unusually high amount of vacancies between 1-11 owing to our transition - in fact, I think only 8 and 11 are left!

So who do we think are going to take the shirts?

Can we take the numbers they're wearing in social media pictures / videos as being accurate for this coming season?

I notice Jordan has 9 on, but Osborne seems to be wearing 10 rather than 8, etc...

Just looking at the league table... only 5 teams have scored more than us, whereas only 5 teams have conceded more than us.

We're also the only team to surpass the 100-goal mark in terms of goal involvements in general.

At least we can't say we haven't been getting value for money this season!

After a decent point on the road, confidence is decent at the moment and we should be hoping for a win that could take us as high as 14th with results elsewhere.

I assume Thompson won't be available but Hancock will be? - sounds like Kosylo had a solid outing at the weekend but best to be on the front foot as much as possible:

               Drench
Perritt Mullarkey Cooper Jones
        Osborne Marriott
  Mooney Hancock  Colclough
               Hulme

Subs: Kosylo, Pringle, White, Leitch-Smith, Ferguson

Altrincham FC First Team / A bit of a National League North thread
« on: March 04, 2022, 09:30:20 AM »
Just taken a look at the league table and was shocked at how far Fylde had fallen off the pace - is there something going down over there? Looks like they're going to be stuck down there for a little while longer at this rate, Project 2022 has well and truly failed.

I didn't realise how quickly York have been coming up on the rails! - into the playoffs now, seems like sacking Steve Watson and giving him to Chester (who are now averaging less than a point a game, proper relegation form) has really done the trick.

Bill & Ben not exactly pulling up any trees at Spennymoor either, by the looks of things.

Who do we want to come up? I guess a couple of 'proper' Conference clubs like Gateshead and Kiddy would be nice, although I can't stomach another visit to that athletics ground.

Go on, I'll get it started a day early seeing as we're all buzzing off the back of a win.

After their recent good form it was encouraging to see them crash to a 3-0 defeat midweek against a Dagenham side that had been so poor against us.

We should have fresher legs, despite the long journey - would probably only look to rotate one position for the task at hand, but would also be happy to go again with the same XI:

             Thompson
Perritt Mullarkey Cooper Jones
        Osborne Marriott
   Mooney Kosylo  Colclough
               Hulme

Subs: Hancock, Pringle, White, Leitch-Smith, Ferguson

Altrincham FC First Team / Ryan Colclough

Really interesting that the club rejected an offer from a Football League club for him, and fair play to them for telling us.

Shows we're not pushovers, and could have contributed to Ryan's performance levels dropping off by his usual standards.

Glad to see him back to his best on Saturday.

...signs for Fylde, after his release by Port Vale last week:

I can't imagine we were fighting them for his signature.

...has just made it 3-3 for Barrow at Barnsley!

I'm really pleased for the lad - he had a bad injury didn't he - I assume he's getting a run of games these days...

Altrincham FC First Team / Playing the league leaders...
« on: November 20, 2021, 06:06:44 PM »
I'm sure others have noticed this little quirk, however would I be right in understanding that Tuesday will see us playing the league leaders for the fourth time already this season?

I notice he's now left us permanently to return to Warrington Town.

Good luck to him.

...have sacked Steven Cunningham.

Bit of a bizarre one, they're obviously going well but he does seem to have a tendency to run his mouth (a bit like the fellas at Chester) and apparently they got wind that he'd been speaking to another club.

Craig Mahon installed as Interim Manager.
