A mate of mine was today talking to an ex Alty player who goes by the name of Bernard. Apparently he scored an og from the half way line against Enfield for whom he later played for.
He now lives over this way (Shropshire) and is a scouser of 65 years of age.

Anyone recognise him from that somewhat hazy description? If so do you know his surname?

Cheers

The first time we played Enfield (in a competitive fixture) was 1981.  He would have been 35 then, and part of the glory team.  Glory team didn't have a Bernard.  Wind up merchant?

I have to concur with the venerable Management Guru on this one.

Think this one needs to be filed under fiction!
