Perhaps the most appropriate now given our recent signings would be Altrincham Celts.

Indeed - Amaluzor had a brief spell at Motherwell I notice.

When did we get the steps on the away end with wooden risers filled with reddish compacted stuff? Thought that was the early 70s (but obviously, could be wrong 🙄)

The mid 60's ? But I could be just as wrong !

Graeme has sadly passed away. A dedicated volunteer who will be greatly missed.

Readind their forum, Rochdale fans are of the opinion that they have financial problems. I can't see Dan going there. As for Sinclair, he's got a contract until next summer.

Wot, no parachute payment ? Mind you, that didn't help SC**thorpe.

I'm generally enthused. Obviously a massive welcome back to Chris Conn-Clarke. Joey Jones is another massive piece of business. Dior Angus will get us goals as long as he's 100% fit.

We do seem a little top-heavy in central defence. It does make me wonder if PP has plans to try a back five. The new right back says he prefers to defend - are we thinking of shifting Lewis Baines to left back, and Eddy Jones into a more advanced role ?

I await Lancaster with a great deal of interest - I shall try not to do a pub crawl till afterwards. To anyone with a love of classic pub interiors, I cannot recommend Hogarth's Gin Palace highly enough!

He'll get a lot more with WWF.

I didn't know he played Words With Friends - I must challenge him.....

I spoke to Kyle at the Runcorn game and he said that he had another year on his contract

In which case Harrogate might look to loan him out again.

If we need someone like Chris Conn-Clarke, we should go and batter on Fleetwood's door. Last week he spent the full 90 minutes + on Waterford's bench. Tonight he hasn't made the match day squad. He is wasting his time in Ireland, and he surely can't be happy about it.

Cloughie was dead wrong about Jan Tomaszewski though !

Although he was right by default - he was Poland's key player that night !

Osborne and Brockbank must defo be on contracts.Neither are good enough.
If Byrne starts the first 5 games poorly then we really need to look elsewhere. Huge season for him.
Can't argue with the rest of the release list.
Parky and Neil's biggest recruitment summer, in my opinion.

I’m not sure playing 5 games then realising that your no 1 keeper isn’t cutting the mustard would be good planning.

Having a dependable keeper who will boss his area and talk to his defenders is, IMHO as important as having a bloody good striker… Linney could be the man up top.

Brian Clough was of the opinion that the goalkeeper was the most important player in your team. I tend to agree with his view.

Has Harrogate issued it's retained list yet? If not, we might be looking at MWH?
I think this too, or could we get senior back from carlisle

I'll be watching for who Carlisle release once the playoffs are over, but I don't expect Senior to be among the leavers.

Staggered we've released Goodson

And Perritt. Surprised we've kept Brockbank and Cooper.

Username of 'strong summer needed'.

We seem to be in crisis every summer judging by the forum - we know targets are being identified and internal conversations will be happening with our players as we speak.

Let's just be glad we're not in Morecambe's position; they'll probably be assuming their natural level alongside us the season after next.

I'm not that fussed about when it comes per se, I wouldn't expect it till June, but the format of drip feeding signings shouldn't be our approach

My sentiments exactly.

This. It was beyond irritating last season. We had that many teasers that I was convinced Wayno was in charge.
