On a seperate note, Gainsborough lost 2-3 at Hyde tonight with a goal from each of their strike pairing of Glynn Hurst and Luke Beckett.

Even though they are both past 30 the fact they are plying their trade at a club who will finish 14th  in the NPL for the 20th consecutive season I find a bit disheartening.

I belive (and it's not just an automatic response) that they are throwing a bit of money at it, they've signed a few lads from Kettering and Gavin Strachan from Notts County.

I'm sure it'll all end well.

To be fair to Droyslden they played some nice stuff and fully deserved their victory. We did finish with only one recognised defender in the back four, with your friend Mr Elam having a stinker at right back.....
