United reserves going to Barton ?
« on: February 17, 2012, 09:35:13 AM »

It would appear there is a big rumour going around that United reserves are looking at moving to
Salford Rugby League's new stadium.

An anouncement is due today apparently.

If SAF allows his youngsters to play on a rugby field, then I will be surprised........in the past he has been seething after OT has hosted RL games

Dont forget though, Rugby league is from Feb - Sep appx so United would get most
of the football season to itself.

I think it would be a shame if the reserves left Moss Lane. Not sure if SAF would appreciate watching from a lifeless stadium in Barton. Iv'e heard that Alty's only monetary gain from the reserves playing here is on the food, and in the bar takings. So do Man U actually pay us anything for using Moss Lane? Anyway, either way there will be a loss of income, hopefully it's just a rumour.
