"Spartans will play a friendly match against South Shields on Thursday 16th February, Kick off 7.30pm. Because of the bad weather over the last two weeks the match will allow both sides to gain valuable practice on a grass surface. The Social Club will be open."

Will be over 800 on Saturday, only had two home games since Christmas, and Blyth will bring a few, and no game for united or city, could do with getting the word out on their forums

At their place they ran themselves into the ground in the second half, but we were VERY poor. Should be three points but won't be a pushover.

1-0 (Reeves 83 pen)

Attendance 796 (22 from Blyth)

Difficult to say when we haven't played for 3 weeks but 3-1 Alty feels about right with a gate of 795 including 32 raging mad Geordies.

Can hardly wait for this game, feels like we are starting the season over again.
It will be interesting to see the team, now we have a fully fit squad of outfield players to choose from.
Anyway, we have to be looking at a comfortable three goal victory, surely.

Hoping for, and looking at, are not quite the same. With effectively three new faces on display it may take a little time for the team to gel. I'll settle for a narrow victory, and hope it sets us up to give Hinckley a good thrashing on Tuesday night.

If Blyth show the same level of commitment that they did in the away game then its going to be a tough game.

They beat South Shields 2-1 last night

If Blyth show the same level of commitment that they did in the away game then its going to be a tough game.

You have to bare in mind a) the woeful ref made it a lot easier for them, and that pitch (which we knew about) was dreadful

LIke i said after the away game, with a decent pitch we'd beat them (and the ref cant be much worse this time either)
