Classic quote from Cheltenham  Town manager Martin Allen about Julien Alsop, who scored against Rotherham this weekend

"When it comes it will be special to all of us and I think he will end up getting 10 league goals, which will be a fantastic achievement for someone so fat.

I can't believe he's back playing in the league! I remember him scoring against us for Forest Green at their old ground and he was rather portly then! Think he went on to Newport County from there.

Nice quote from the manager at Cheltenham (from Wikipedia)
"We went shopping for a big strong centre-forward at the start of the season, but couldn't afford the players we wanted. If you go shopping at Sainsbury's and ask for a fillet steak but can't afford it, you have to find something else and we've ended up with a gristly old fatty lump of lard up front - but it tasted good."

The less said about bananas the better.

Wasn't he the guy that caused Scott Beavon to lose a kidney playing for Tamworth against Forest Green......the tuesday after we lost there 5-0!
