There was no "protest" at Burscough, something which you and GH have both incorrectly asserted in recent times. The crowd was just subdued - there is a massive difference and you ought to think before you make accusations like this.

Ah so that's where I got the idea that there was a protest at Burscough!

Accusations eh? Blimey. So sue me :)

Seriously though it did feel like I was on my own at that game in strongly backing Heathcote's appointment (and how right I was!).

Whether it was a protest or not (and I still believe it wasn't) is largely irrelevant. The point is it didn't need bringing up again over 6 years later.

In my opinion it is a point which is necessary to bring up in a full and frank (as they say) discussion about Heathcote's managerial reign.

If it comes to it, my season didn't need spoiling, for reasons which I outlined at the time (I need to keep coming back to this I'm afraid, I want people to remember how wrong they were and hopefully be more cautious before spoiling people's season next time).

Anyway, back to the present - can we make the playoffs? I think there's an outside chance if we keep close to our strongest team for the rest of the season.

I say this with no offence intended whatsoever, but this statement, probably more than any other of yours (and there HAVE been a few crackers) should explain to you why people don't take your opinions very seriously.

If I was you, I'd get back on the sauce.  Not drinking at sunrise is having serious side effects.

You're always "on your own", in a manner of speaking.
