I've got £5 on Germany outright at 14 to 1 - They may have peaked too soon though ?

(Also got a fiver on England - but only to soften the potential blow of seeing a scouser lift the World Cup !!)

I've had Germany and Italy (again) cos 14/1 and 16/1 were too good odds to pass by... Have Brazil in the sweepstake at work too so thats handy...

What's going on here? Are the Italians cheating again? Italy should be about 4/9 to win this but they are available at 5/4

Got £1 of Antonio Di Natale for the Golden Boot at 33/1 - 28 goals this season for a mediocre Udinese side.  And also a fiver of South Korea to reach the quater finals at 5/1.

I've £15 on France to win it at 20/1 based on the "shouldnt be there" rule, that ensured Denmark won in 1992, and Itally in 2006.

The best bet i found pre-tournament, was all group favourites to win their groups...33/1! I've got a fiver on that as well, knowing full well, that there is always a shock...but couldnt pass them odds up. (Favs were France, Arg, Eng, Germ, Holland, Italy, Braz, and Spain.)

Stuck £5 on the draw at 3/1,but wish I had put more on as I was so confident of it. Traditional slow starters, not the side of 4 years ago, and Paraguay aren't the worst side.

Bloody Eyeties  ???

Let me down on a treble - Holland, Japan and Italy all to win at 10-1 in total.

Bloody typical !!  ???

I think listening to what Fuertes has to say might be the way ahead here!

I've just stuck a few quid on Spain to win 2-0 this afternoon at 5/1. Most the big teams seem to be doing enough to win their first match without really going for it with the exception of Germany who were playing 10 men.

Maybe not then :)  Spain are now even money to win the group while they're a goal down!

Lad at my work had a 5 match accumulator on... 4 matches done, just needed Spain to win for £130...

Ouch. (I've not won a penny so far lol).

I quite fancy Slovenia as a surprise package and have a couple of quid on them for a draw with the USA and keeping a clean sheet against them. I see them as a bit like us on an international scale, a solid but unspectacular side with some very good players who are largely underrated. I have a feeling they'll nick 2nd place in the group.

I had a fiver at 6-4 on 6 or less goals in today's games. Expected 2 from Chile, and 3 from Spain, goalless draw South Africa. Do I not love the Swiss ?
